ADVENTIST EDUCATORS UNITE FOR EDUCATION DAY II

Close to six hundred Adventist educators and service workers around the kingdom of Thailand actively responded to the call of the Thailand Adventist Mission Education Department’s “I Will Go.” Amidst the ongoing threat of the global pandemic, educators flocked to Zoom to participate in a two-day virtual teachers’ professional development, spiritual enrichment, and fellowship. This successful coming together of teachers, office staff, service workers from different Adventist learning institutions was held from 18 to 19 October 2021.
Southeast Asia Union Mission Education Director Pastor Konis, who joined from Singapore, opened the ceremonies and inspired participants during the morning devotional worship. Officers from Thailand Adventist Mission (TAM), headed by Pastor Niratisai Aipan, also graced the auspicious event.
TAM Education Director and EIS Director Acharn Saowanee Kiatyanyong warmly welcomed everyone and conveyed her gratitude for the support, prayers, and participation of Chiangmai Adventist Academy, Adventist Ekamai School, Adventist International Mission School Korat, Ubon Adventist International Mission School, Peace Music Academy, Bangkok Adventist International School, KAIS, and Ekamai International School.
Teachers and staff of each educational institutions were treated to a first of its kind digital workshops, training, and professional upgrade that focuses on new technologies and trends in online learning such as Introduction to Retrieval Practice and Techniques for Effective Online Teaching.
The first Education Day celebration was held at Adventist Ekamai School in Bangkok Thailand, in 2019.
