22nd Kindergarten Graduation: A Drive-Through Ceremony
By: Hazel Ilao
At the end of every school year here at EIS kindergarten, our K3 students proudly march down the aisle for graduation to receive their diplomas in their cap and gown. However, with the Covid-19 pandemic and the new normal restrictions in place. Still, the Kindergarten team decided to hold a drive-through graduation ceremony to celebrate our kindergarten student’s achievements. The ceremony was designed to limit in-person contact and prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
On Sunday, November 13, 2021, families drove their vehicles through the school campus. They stopped at the Gate 3 school entrance, where the students got off and received their diplomas and took pictures with their teachers. Picture booths were also set up so families could take some pictures together to commemorate the special occasion.
Even though the students didn’t get to participate in their graduation the way it is usually done, this drive-through program was a whole new experience for everyone, and we can say that it was a success! A big thank you to the school administration, teachers, staff, students, and parents for all the support given. It was a trying time for all of us, but everyone made the best of it and stayed positive.
Again, a big congratulations to the 22nd Kindergarten Graduating Class of SY 2020-2021 for successfully reaching another milestone in their lives, and we wish them God’s guidance and blessings as they continue to grow and learn.
