Twice each school year, Ekamai International School students from all pre-kindergarten to high school gather at the Milne Auditorium for a week of spiritual emphasis popularly known in EIS as the week of prayer.
Mr. Christian Sorensen from the United States of America and Ms. Charity Buga-ay from the Philippines, both seasoned servants of God, were invited to share on the theme, “God Answers Prayers.
The lower grades were introduced to the five fingers prayers, where they were encouraged to pray for their family and friends, teachers, leaders, weak and in need, and lastly, for themselves. On the other hand, the higher sections of middle and high schools were encouraged to make their prayer experiential and intentional, like they are talking to a friend., to make every time with God a meaningful experience.
Students were likewise encouraged to wait when their prayers are taking longer to happen, to be grateful when it is answered, and to accept when God says no to prayer because He knows what is best for each of us.
As a Christian Adventist international school, EIS strongly believes in the power of prayer and that certainly God answers prayer.
