EIS REACHES OUT TO CHIANGRAI FLOOD VICTIMS

One hundred fifty thousand families were affected and displaced by the massive flooding in
Chiangrai, Thailand, which started on 12 September 2024 and lasted more than two weeks.
Deaths were also reported, making this calamity a global headline.
Ekamai International School is one of the response teams that provided basic need support and
assistance to the flood-soaked community in the North.
A team of volunteers from EIS headed by its School Director Ajarn Saowanee Kiatyanyong and
administrators Ajarn Panuwat Kittiya, Chayaporn Wittayapiban, and officers from the Thailand
Adventist
Mission distributed rice, water, noodles, canned goods, paper napkins, eggs, soy sauce, water
basins, and many others to the affected individuals in Bandu, Chiangrai.
More than one hundred families received help from EIS, which initiated a fund drive to support
those severely affected.
EIS also donated a piano, speakers, microphones, and an audio mixer to the Chiangrai Seventh-
day Adventist Church since it was all soaked in muddy flood water.
The school conveys its profound gratitude to those who immediately responded to the call for
donations, prayers, and help to the homeless victims of this destructive calamity.
