THAI CULTURAL DAY REINFORCES RICH HERITAGE

Ekamai International School recently hosted a vibrant and educational Thai Cultural Day aimed at
immersing students in the rich heritage and traditions of the country. The event, held on November 14,
2024, was a remarkable celebration of Thai culture, offering students a unique opportunity to learn
about the country’s history, art, music, and culinary traditions.
The cultural day was aimed at deepening the students’ understanding of Thailand’s multifaceted identity
while promoting an appreciation for the values that define the kingdom. The vibrant event included a
diverse range of activities that engaged students from all sections, making it a memorable and enriching
experience for everyone. The event opened with a classical Thai dance performance from selected
students.
One of the highlights of the day was the Thai food booths, where everyone could sample authentic Thai
dishes prepared by the students. The day also included several hands-on workshops that allowed
students to engage directly with Thai crafts and art forms. Traditional Thai games were also reminisced,
with highly engaged students enjoying every offering from each station.
The Thai Cultural Day at EIS was a resounding success, leaving students with a deeper appreciation for
the rich traditions and history of Thailand. By combining art, food, music, and history, the event allowed
students to celebrate the beauty of Thai culture in a fun, interactive, and educational way.
